Search Ross County Criminal Court Records Online
The Ross County online records system lets you search court cases from any computer. You can look up cases by party name, case number, or date range. The system shows case status, hearing dates, party names, and docket entries. It covers criminal, civil, and domestic relations cases from the Court of Common Pleas.
The online system has limits though. It does not show actual document images. For that, you need to visit the Clerk's office or send a written request. Older cases that predate the electronic system may not appear online at all. If you are trying to find a record and it does not come up, call the office at (740) 702-3010 and the staff can check the paper files. There is always a delay between when something gets filed and when it shows up in the search tool.
Ohio's public records law under ORC Section 149.43 protects your right to view court records. You do not have to give your name or explain your purpose. The Clerk of Courts must provide access during regular hours.
